About me
Shoji Nakayama, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. In this position, he teaches safety and health courses and works on various applied projects with the local industry to help promote safe and healthy working environments within the workplace. Professor Nakayama has safety experience in the automotive, airline, regulatory agency, printing, and telecommunication industries. Prior to joining the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, he taught at Purdue University Northwest. Professor Nakayama holds a Ph.D. in Technology Management, with a specialization in Human Resource Development and Industrial Training from Indiana State University, a M.S. in Industrial Management, and a B.S. in Safety Management from the University of Central Missouri.
